My Approach

I work with a wide range of psychological presentations and emotional difficulties, with a particular passion for supporting people of all ages with experiences of trauma and those who are neurodivergent. My approach is grounded in compassion, evidence-based practice, and a commitment to tailoring my work to each person's unique needs, history, and strengths. I trained as a Clinical Psychologist at the University of Leicester and am also a qualified EMDR therapist and experienced autism diagnostician, two areas that have become central to my clinical practice.

In practice, rather than applying a single fixed model, I work flexibly, adapting therapy to each person's goals, pace and preferences. Depending on what is most helpful, I draw on psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), CFT (Compassion Focused Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and DBT-informed approaches (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy).

Whether you are seeking therapy for a specific difficulty, hoping to understand yourself more deeply, or looking for a formal autism assessment, my aim is to provide a safe, respectful and collaborative space — one where you can make sense of your experiences and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Autism Assessments

I offer comprehensive, NICE-compliant autism assessments for individuals aged 16 and over, either online or in person.

My interest in neurodiversity predates my specialisation, but it has become a central focus of my professional practice. In recent years, I have worked extensively as a lead diagnostician for major NHS-contracted providers, conducting complex autism assessments, leading clinical consensus discussions, and helping ensure that each assessment is both clinically robust and respectful of the individual's lived experience.

My aim is to move beyond a process that simply "ticks the boxes". An autism assessment should help you understand yourself better, including your strengths, difficulties and patterns of thinking — and provide a meaningful foundation for what comes next.

Full details of the assessment process, stages and fees can be found on the Autism Assessments page.

My Approach

I am a Clinical Psychologist who supports adults and children with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and experiences associated with neurodiversity.

Since completing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Leicester, I have worked across both the NHS and private practice, supporting people across the lifespan with their mental health. I aim to create a supportive and understanding environment where people feel able to share their experiences and make sense of what they are going through.

I work collaboratively with each person to develop a better understanding of themselves and find strategies that feel useful and achievable. My approach typically draws on Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

I also have specialist knowledge and experience of autism and ADHD, and can support people with self-exploration, developing strategies that work for them, and navigating the process of seeking a diagnosis.
